So I was running low on groceries and had to take my ass to the store today. I hate walmart, but I love their prices so I will pretend they dont have children working in factories for 3cents an hour and that they dont hire the most rude bitches with the worst weave ever to work in store....
Anyways, not that this is the perfect shopping cart or anything, I just wanted to show you what MY cart looks like so you can aim to be similar. Notice there are almost no pre-made items? notice how colorful the food(not the cardboard box it comes in) is?
The two sauces up front- i love sauce. these are two Ive worked into my eating habits that I can control. The sweet chili sauce i LOVE with celery, so although it does have sugar (keyword SWEET) because I pair it with celery and not french fries I do not feel guilty about it. Next to it is Panda Express's KungPoa sauce. Its fabulous. 2 tbsp has 25 calories, 6 carbs. BBQ sauce has about 90 cals and 25 carbs (i know this because i LOVE and MISS bbq sauce! i have alternatives tho- for another post) I use the panda sauce in stirfry. All kinds of veggies and usually frozen shrimp or scallops with that sauce is to die for. And really you only need 1 tablespoon to get the flavor, not 2. But if you live your food saucy- you can use two!
I love almond milk. Its better than soy- no crazy after taste. Unsweetened has about 40cals a cup. You do not need it sweetened. the vanilla is good, but in my opinion too sweet. the regular unswseetened tastes just like milk when u eat it with cereal. It works perfectly in cooking when a recipe calls for milk. I do eat cheese and icecream from time to time but I really try not to drink cow milk. Besides the fact that organic milk is too rich for my blood and I wouldnt drink it fast enough for it not to spoil- it's weird to drink cow's milk! we are the ONLY species who drinks milk that comes out of another animal. Monkeys don't drink lion milk. Giraffe doesnt drink elephant milk... Someone once argued my point with "kittens drink cow milk" Yes, retard, they do, when a HUMAN gives it to them! a kitten(unless abandoned by its mother in a barn for some reason) is not going to drink from a cow. So what's with that? Also, by the time humans are 2 years old theyve lost most of their ability to digest lactose. No wonder so many people are lactose intolerant and get bellyaches from dairy. Again, I am not trying to force anyone into giving up dairy, but consider it part time. If youre going to drink cow milk regularly then you should stay away from other milk products. If you dont drink milk regularly you can eat cheese and icecream so. I mean this isnt a rule of the universe, but this is my blog and this is how I do it!
