If just like to start by saying this post is not to throw anyone under the bus... Which is why I will not be saying their name and if cropped their username from the picture I took a screen shot of.
This is the breakfast of an acquaintance mine who continually comments on my social networks how jealous she is and how badly she wants to lose weight.
What you are seeing is French toast, drenched in syrup (I'd bet $100 its high fructose corn syrup, not pure maple) with about a half a cup of pure white refined sugar. My jaw literally dropped.
Incase you don't know- its not recommend we consume more than 6 tsp of sugar a day. There are 64 TABLESPOONS in a half cup of sugar.... Which means there's about 100 teaspoons on this plate, and that's not counting the sugar in the syrup and the bread. This meal would put a diabetic in a coma.
The moral of the story- THINK before you eat! I'm sure this person did not think about what they were eating. I'm especially sure they do not know how horrifying this is or I doubt they'd be showing it off to anyone.
Sugar, especially refined sugar, does NotHING for your body but make you fat. Think, think, think! If you knew better, you'd do better! So let's learn something!
